I am a Wife, Mother, Professional in the Beauty Industry & a Contemporary Maori Artist. I am currently in the final year of my BA in Maori Visual Arts & Design. I come from a very whanau (family) orientated background & believe strongly in providing a stable & culturally infused lifestyle for my husband & children.
I have a background in Make-Up, Photography & have been a Master Nail Technician for the last 8years. My long-life passion lives in Art – Painting & Drawing in particular. My goal is to combine my passion, my profession & the new found knowledge & skills that i have obtained in the last three years of my degree, into a niche market business venture.
Im determined & ambitious to fulfill my own expectations of myself in business & in life. I do though however, like to keep it well balanced with love, fun & laughter. Nothing ties that in better than family & good friends!
My self motto is ‘Dream..Live..Love..Breath’. Dream BIG, Live LIFE, Love ALOT & dont forget to Breath! It comes from this Whakatauki (Maori Proverb): ‘Tama Tu, Tama Ora, Tama Noho, Tama Mate.’ It means – ‘Stand, Live, Sit, Die’ & basically means that in order to achieve & succeed we need to stand up, be involved & take charge. If we sit & do nothing we will get nowhere.
